Ostrovok is the only Russian-speaking theatre troupe on Vancouver Island. Our non-for-profit organization has served as a beacon of culture and art for ten years. Yearly winter performances and spring plays bring joy and unforgettable moments to audience members of all ages.

For many families, viewing the New Year’s plays has become tradition. We all eagerly await meeting again with Father Frost and his granddaughter, Snow maiden, who will undoubtedly bring presents and holiday cheer every season!

Our guests attend our shows for fairytale-esque storytelling, spectacular costumes, genuine laughter and music for the soul. All have their unique expectations, but every one of our audience members and show participants alike are unified by an unwavering desire to conserve and expand our dear “Ostrovok”.
